Miss Lake Festival 2027: A Celebration of Beauty, Community, and Service
The Miss Lake Festival 2027 pageant, held on July 20, 2026, at the Harley C. Jones Memorial Rotary Amphitheater, was a spectacular event that showcased the beauty and talent of young women from Celina. The festival crowned two winners: Caitlyn Nuding as Miss Lake Festival 2027 and Alika Bridge as Miss Lake Festival's Teen 2027.
Nuding, a nursing student at Wright State University-Lake Campus, impressed the judges with her powerful HERstory presentation on alcohol addiction. Her community service initiative, H.O.P.E. (Helping Others through Peer Education on Alcohol Addiction), aims to educate young people about the disease of addiction and empower them to make informed choices. Her message, "Alcohol addiction is a disease, not a choice," resonated with the audience and highlighted the importance of treating addiction as a medical condition.
Bridge, a Celina High School senior, captivated the audience with her expressive dance performance to "Dancing on My Own." Her community service initiative, Compassion Without Condition, promotes kindness, inclusion, and respect for everyone. Bridge's message, "Kindness is the easiest thing to do," emphasized the importance of small acts of kindness in making a positive impact on others.
The Miss Lake Festival and Miss Lake Festival's Teen pageants are preliminary competitions that provide a platform for young women to develop their leadership skills, build confidence, and make a positive impact in their communities. The winners, Nuding and Bridge, will advance to compete for the titles of Miss Ohio and Miss Ohio's Teen in June 2027. They will also reign over Lake Festival events, continuing to inspire and empower others.
The pageant offered a range of awards and scholarships, including a $5,000 scholarship for Nuding and a $500 scholarship for Bridge. The emcee, Carrie Cubberley, highlighted the generosity of sponsors, who awarded over $11,000 in total scholarships.
